Future Worker Training Scheme (FWT)

OVERVIEW:
Future Workers Training (FWT) is a scheme designed to enable employers to hire talents who can perform tasks with minimum supervision. This will include training future workers with the required skills and competencies before entering employment.

HRD Corp Support:
In-house Training (by Internal Trainer) 
-Employers can claim Internal Trainer Allowance up to a maximum of RM1,000/day/group. For Remote Online Training, it will be effective from 25 October 2021. The allowance will be prorated if the number of trainees is less than five (5).
-Monthly Allowance for Trainee(s) at RM1,000/month/trainee.
-Other claimable costs that include meal and daily allowances. 

* For a minimum of 2 trainees and a maximum of 35 trainees. (Refer in-house requirement under Allowable Cost Matrix) 

In-house Training (by External Trainer) 
-The maximum course fee for in-house training is RM8,000/ group/day for HRD Corp Focus Area Courses and RM6,000/ group/day for Employer-Specific Course
-The minimum number of participants for in-house training is two (2) trainees per group. The course fee will be prorated if the number of trainees is less than 5. For example, RM6,000/5 trainees = RM1,200 per trainee.
-Professional Certification/Examination fee is as quoted by the certification/examination body. Employers must provide certification from the Certification/Examination body on the fees/costs incurred.
-Monthly Allowance for Trainee(s) at RM1,000/month/trainee.
-Other claimable costs that include meal and daily allowances.
-Employers must pay to training providers or external trainer upon grant approval (direct reimbursement concept).
-Training programmes/modules are not required to register with HRD Corp. However, local external trainer(s) and training providers must still register with HRD Corp.

Public
-The maximum allowable fees for public courses conducted locally for HRD Corp Focus Area is RM3,000/pax/day and RM1,300/pax/day for Employer-Specific courses. 
-Professional Certification/Examination fee is as quoted by the certification/examination body. Employers must
provide certification from the Certification/Examination body on the fees/costs incurred.
-Employers must pay to training providers or external trainer upon grant approval (direct reimbursement concept).
-Training programmes/modules are not required to register with HRD Corp. However, local external trainer(s) and training providers must still register with HRD Corp.
-Monthly Allowance for Trainee(s) at RM1,000/month/trainee
-Other claimable costs that include meal and daily allowances.

*SST or Service Tax is claimable effective 1 March 2019. However, it must not exceed the maximum claimable amount.

Application Procedure & CRITERIA:
-Employers may submit their applications via eTRiS under the FWT scheme. 
-Applications must be submitted to HRD Corp for approval, before the commencement of training. 
-Training can be conducted as a ‘Public’ or  ‘In-house’ programme.
-The minimum training duration is four (4) hours

Required supporting documents:
-Course Content.
-Trainer's Profile.
-Invoice/Quotation.
-Letter to Undergo FWT.

APPLICATION GUIDE:
1. Login to your Employer’s eTRiS account. 
2. Click on Applications


3. Click on Grant.
4. Select Apply Grant.


5. Select FWT from the Scheme Code drop-down menu and click Apply. 


6. Fill in the required information in the Employer’s Profile section, including selecting your Immediate Officer, and click Next.


7. Fill in the required information in the Training Provider’s Profile section and click Next.


8. Fill in all required information in the Course and Programme Details sections and click Next. 


9. Fill in the training location and other required details in the Details of Training section and click Next.


10. Fill in the Level of Certification and click Next.


11. Complete the Trainees’ Information by clicking Add Batch, followed by Save and later the Add/Edit Trainee Details. 


12. Key in all related training costs in the Estimated Cost for Training Scheme section, click Save followed by Next. 


13. Tick the checkbox, fill in the required information, attach all supporting documents, click Save, followed by Submit Application.


14. The Grant Officer may also request further information, clarification or supporting documents if and when necessary. 

15. The application status, including approval, will be updated on the employer’s eTRiS Dashboard and Inbox. Employers will also be notified via email.
