Flagship Activities During AYOS 2025
Throughout 2025, a series of impactful flagship and platforms will be carried out across ASEAN under the banner of AYOS 2025. These activities are designed to promote skills development, foster regional cooperation, and future-proof the ASEAN workforce. They include:
- ASEAN Human Capital Development Investment Symposium (AHCDIS)
The ASEAN Human Capital Development Investment Symposium (AHCIS) provides a platform for policymakers, employers’ and workers’ organisations, and experts to explore innovative workforce skills financing solutions. By promoting collaboration and sharing global good practices, the symposium supports ASEAN strategies with practical approaches and actionable recommendations to ensure a competitive, future-ready workforce.
- National Training Week (NTW)
National Training Week (NTW) is a nationwide initiative that provides free, high-quality learning and development opportunities to people from all backgrounds. It aims to future-proof careers, bridge skills gaps, and promote lifelong learning. Organized by HRD Corp in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), NTW also aligns with the ASEAN Year of Skills (AYOS) 2025 as a flagship initiative. Under the theme "Learning Beyond Borders", NTW is expanding regionally to foster collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation in skills development across ASEAN.
- ASEAN Training Market Conference (ATMC)
The ASEAN Training Market Conference (ATMC) serves as a dynamic platform for key stakeholders to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and share best practices in workforce development. By bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, training providers, and educators, the event fosters meaningful discussions on emerging trends, challenges, and innovative solutions in the training market. Through interactive sessions and networking opportunities, participants will explore strategies to enhance skills development, improve training accessibility, and align workforce capabilities with evolving industry demands. In particular, the conference emphasizes improving the quality of training delivery, strengthening the competency of trainers, and ensuring the relevance of curricula to meet current and future labour market needs. Ultimately, the conference aims to drive actionable solutions that strengthen regional cooperation and support sustainable economic growth across ASEAN.
- ASEAN TVET Conference (ATC)
The ASEAN TVET Conference is a platform that brings together government representatives, industry players, and education providers to tackle key challenges and share best practices in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Through panel discussions, skills demonstrations, and showcases, it aims to strengthen regional cooperation and advance a future-ready, resilient ASEAN workforce.
- National Human Capital Conference Exhibition (NHCCE) 2025
The National Human Capital Conference & Exhibition (NHCCE) is HRD Corp’s flagship annual conference for HR and corporate professionals, formerly known as the HRDF Conference & Exhibition. Rebranded to reflect a broader focus, NHCCE now covers the full spectrum of human capital and business development. NHCCE 2025, themed "Navigating Human Capital Revolution", will address the rapid changes affecting the workforce and economy. The conference serves as a platform for dialogue, strategy, and collaboration to build a more resilient and future-ready workforce across ASEAN and beyond.
- Global Skills Forum (GSF)
The Global Skills Forum (GSF) is a global platform for discussions on shaping skills development in rapidly evolving economies and societies, emphasizing lifelong learning as a driver of economic prosperity, individual well-being, and inclusive growth. With a focus on continuous skilling, reskilling, and upskilling, the forum aims to advance youth-inclusive policies that bridge skills gaps, promote lifelong learning, amplify youth voices, and facilitate smoother transitions from education to employment. This forum is intended for a global audience, not limited to ASEAN.
- ASEAN Forum of Manpower Ministry for Human Capital Development (AFMM-HCD)
The ASEAN Forum of Manpower Ministers for Human Capital Development is a high-level meeting for ministers and senior government officials to engage in strategic dialogue on strengthening human capital development across ASEAN. Centered on addressing critical skills gaps and enhancing talent mobility, the forum fosters regional cooperation through expert-led discussions and policy exchange. It aims to drive forward-thinking decisions and collective action for future-proofing the ASEAN workforce and advancing a resilient, adaptable regional economy.
The year-long initiative will also see nationwide and regional campaigns aimed at empowering youth and marginalised communities with job-ready skills. These efforts will be led by ASEAN Member States with the support of key partners such as HRD Corp, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the International Labour Organization (ILO), and will be hosted both physically and virtually to ensure inclusive participation across the region.
