Skim Latihan Dual Nasional (SLDN)

The Government has implemented the Skim Latihan Dual Nasional  (SLDN) to produce a national skilled workforce (k Worker) through  an up to date and comprehensive training mechanism to meet  the current needs of the industry.
The training mechanism adopted under the Skim Latihan Dual  Nasional (SLDN) will address the issue of producing a skilled workforce  to meet the current needs of the industry. This training mechanism will  also expose the apprentices to the real work environment.

Training Methodology

Theoretical and basic skill
training conducted at training institutions is comprised of 20% to 30% of the overall training duration.
Duration
of the training is between 1 to 2 years or subject to the training duration determined by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK)
Practical training
conducted at sponsoring employers’ premises is comprised of 70% to 80% from the overall training duration.
Ratio
The percentage of the ratio can be adjusted depending on the needs agreed by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK).

Who Will Apply?

HRD Corp Registered Employers.
Employer must be registered with HRD Corp and have sufficient levy balance.
Training programmes must be approved by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK).
The Apprenticeship Contract must be signed between apprentices and sponsoring employers based on the PSMB’s format.
Training institutes must obtain approval from Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) to implement the Skim Latihan Dual Nasional (SLDN).

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
A complete document must be submitted via the online application, employer’s  eTRiS account.
SLDN certification of accreditation company which states NOSS Code and validity of the  programme
Certification of the accreditation training  centre for SLDN;
Schedule of training;
Course fee details (Quotation);
Trainees’ detail;
A copy of Trainee’s MyKad (IC);
A copy of the latest academic certification;
Trainer’s detail; and
Trainer’s resume and TTT/professional certificate.
CRITERIA
Apprentices must be  Malaysian citizens.
Apprentices must be  SPM / PMR school  leavers who are shortlisted by sponsoring  employers.
COURSE FEE
Registration and issuance of Malaysia Skill  Certificate fee: RM100.00/pax
Apprentices monthly allowance fee  RM500.00/pax
Training fee (if applicable)
Group insurance
