Payment Levy using Debit Account via Letter of Authorization (LOA)

Payment Levy using Debit Account via Letter of Authorization (LOA)

Please be advised that beginning on 10 August 2023, Public Bank Berhad branches will begin providing customers the option to debit their accounts utilizing Letters of Authorization.

As an account holder, you can use an Authorization Letter to authorize another trusted individual to conduct financial transactions on your behalf. This letter, addressed to an institutional representative, informs the bank that the person holding the letter is acting with your approval.

This LOA is offered to employers who use Public Bank Berhad cheques or have registered as Public Bank Berhad accounts. Employers can choose manual payment to print the Public Bank Berhad e-Slip via Form 2 and submit the LOA with the e-Slip to the Public Bank Berhad branches.

If payment is made with cash (together with the e-slip) and a Letters of Authorization, the employer is not charged a service fee. Public Bank Berhad continues to charge RM2 for Public Bank Berhad cheques and RM4 for cheques issued by other banks.

Note:
Cheque and cash payments are still allowed; if the Public Bank Berhad branch refuses to accept the cheque, please notify us of the date, time, branch and officer names, and employer contact number. The information gathered can be emailed to support@hrdcorp.gov.my
