FAQ - Employer's Circular No 3/2024 : Industrial Training Scheme (ITS)

Industrial Training Scheme (ITS)
1.1 What is the maximum claimable amount for the enhanced Industrial Training Scheme?

Employers may claim the full amount of the internship allowance, subject to a maximum of 50% of their levy balance as of 1st January in the year the application is submitted (for their eligibility amount).

*Approval amount will be subject to balance eligibility amount at the time of approval

1.2 How to determine internship duration to calculate eligibility?

Calculation of months are per our terms and conditions as follows:
  1. 15 days equals to 0.5 month
  2. 28 to 30 days equals to one (1) full month.
The number of days inclusive of weekends and public holidays.

*Claimable duration is three (3) months

Scenario 2

*Claimable duration is 3.5 months

Scenario 3

*Not eligible for financial assistance since the internship duration does not meet the minimum requirement.
